MRT Blues

North EDSA, Quezon City

A typical day inside the Metro Rail Transit North Avenue station. Weary commuters still hope for the construction of a common station that would connect the LRT-1, MRT-7 and MRT-3.

The MRT-LRT common station, which will connect EDSA Quezon City, Taft Manila and Commonwealth Avenue up to Bulacan, is a P2.8-billion, 13,700-square-meter project to be built between SM North EDSA and TriNoma malls in Quezon City. It will connect the LRT1, the MRT3, and also the MRT7, building a seamless transfer from one line to another, a convenient walk for platform transfers, a bigger space, and connection to two major malls – SM North EDSA and TriNoma.
